  1. Following on from last evening's splendid Opening Ceremony hosted by 11th Hour Racing and The Harte Institute, the 48th annual Youth Sailing World Championships begin in earnest today with racing scheduled in all nine classes.
  2. With the words, "By hoisting the flag I declare the Championship formally open!" American Cory Sertl, the Chair of the World Sailing's Youth Events Sub-committee, officially opened the 48th annual Youth Sailing World Championship.
  3. The Opening Ceremony for the 48th annual Youth Sailing World Championship is set for tonight. All 382 sailors from 66 nations will participate in the ceremony.
  4. By the end of play on Friday the field had been narrowed down to just nine men and Robinson Hilario and Adeuri Corniel were first up. Hilario's riding style suits the Air Games format.
  5. American and Australian sailors in the Laser Radial and 420 fleets will return to defend their Youth Sailing World Championships title next week at the 48th edition in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA.
