  1. In the closest finish since it was first staged in 1978, the French ocean racing veteran Francis Joyon won the 40th anniversary Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe solo transatlantic race from Saint Malo to Pointe-À-Pitre early this morning.
  2. Between 31 October and 3 November, the world's best female match racers gathered in Ascona to compete in the Swiss International Women's Match. Despite heavy rain and tricky wind conditions an impressive 66 matches were completed on Lago Maggiore.
  3. Conditions at Dakhla Spirit in Morocco were perfect for competition on the final day of the World Freestyle Kiteboarding Championships.
  4. A Mixed Two Person Keelboat Offshore will feature at the Paris 2024 Olympic Sailing Competition, providing a new dynamic to the Olympic movement, following ratification at World Sailing's Annual General Meeting.
  5. Delegates will meet on Sunday 4 November at World Sailing's Annual General Meeting in Sarasota, Florida, USA.
